Nice to meet you
My name is Meredith and I'm a down to earth, nature loving, portrait photographer based in Nashville, TN. I'm also a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to so many precious people.
I was born and raised in Middle Tennessee. I went to the University of Tennessee at Martin, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geo Science with an emphasis on Travel and Tourism and a minor in Spanish. I met my wonderful husband, Sergio, while at UT Martin. We married in the summer of 2007 and moved to Nashville soon after. I started my career at Primrose School of Cool Springs, working in management as well as teaching Spanish to all of the sweet children there. In 2010, I started section hiking the Appalachian Trail with my family and that's when my husband really starting encouraging me to start my photography business. My little point and shoot camera was always in my hand on those hikes, documenting, in detail, our experiences. I took my husband's advice and started my photography business in the summer of 2010. My darling daughter, Ruth, was born in September 2013 and my precious son, Theodore, was born in October of 2018, so I am now a full time stay at home/work from home Mom!
My love for photography started as a child, wanting to take pictures of every adventure I had. I relished looking through old family photo albums and thinking how special it was to have those memories frozen in time. As I grew up, I always had some type of camera taking as many pictures as I could of people and nature.
So, here I am in 2019, still wanting to document moments, not only for myself, but others as well. In the Spring and Fall, you will catch me taking school pictures at the Primrose School of Brentwood, Midtown, Cool Springs, and Murfreesboro. However, I offer my portrait sessions year round for families, children, and seniors.
I draw my inspiration from nature and human emotions. I want to catch real moments, genuine smiles, and most of all love. I want my pictures to take you back to that exact moment when your husband whispered something sweet in your ear, when your child kissed you on the cheek unexpectedly, or when you held your Mother's hand as both of you realize how much time has passed by. Real life isn't posed or perfect, but that's okay. Life is beautiful. If this is the style of photography that you are looking for, I would be honored to create photographs for you that will stand the test of time.
